LINAFOOT: V. Club dispossesses Mazembe of leadership by beating Renaissance of Congo (2-0)

Kinshasa, May 6th, 2021 (ACP).– AS V. Club of Kinshasa dispossessed TP Mazembe of Lubumbashi of the leading position thanks to their victory against FC Renaissance of Congo by 2-0, on Wednesday at the Martyrs stadium of Pentecost, in match of the 23rd day of the 26th championship of the National Football League (LINAFOOT).

The game was up to a derby for the Congolese capital. V. Club dominated the first half by opening the scoring by Fiston Kalala Mayele (31st), the home scorer, who made his way through the opposing axial defense to beat the goalkeeper Guy-Serge Mukumi for the opening the score. Renaissance of Congo tried to get its head out of the water by securing two unsuccessful corners.
