Kinshasa, June 9th, 2026 (CPA).- A training course in public speaking aiming to transform communication  into  a lever for opportunities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)  is scheduled for June 22nd to 27th, 2026 in Kinshasa,  its initiator has announced on Tuesday. “The aim of this training is to develop public speaking skills, leadership and self-confidence, in order to transform communication into a real lever for opportunities,” has declared Jael Manzambi,  Destined for students, young professionals, entrepreneurs and anyone wishing to improve their communication skills, the  “Lipanda Public Speaking” training course, 2nd edition generally targets people aged 18 to 45 years old.

“Lipanda means ‘independence’ in Lingala. This choice is linked to the month of June, a period marking DRC’s independence, as well as to my date of birth, June 30th,” she has explained. According to the initiator, “the aim is to link this symbolism to independence of speech, that is to say, the ability to express oneself with confidence, to defend one’s ideas and to inspire those around you”. She has reminded us that this initiative also aims to pay tribute to the country’s historical figures, notably Patrice Lumumba, who used speech as a tool in the struggle for independence. Jael Manzambi has also specified that this edition will focus on practical exercises, role-playing and the tangible transformation of participants.

“Speech is power. ‘Oratoire Lipanda’ aims to help everyone find their voice so they can have a positive impact on their community,” she has concluded. A lawyer by profession, human rights defender, trainer and public speaking coach, Jael Manzambi wears many hats.
