An inspection mission of traditional healers at the health zone of Boma-Bungu

Boma-Bungu , August 13th, 2025 (CPA).- A provincial inspector of traditional healers is currently visiting the rural health zone of Boma-Bungu, in the south-west of the Democratic Republic of Congo, as part of a mission to assess the level of cooperation between the health zone and this health support body, has indicated a health source  to the CPA on Tuesday.

‘We have a duty to visit health zones regularly to see if all traditional healers are complying with the regulations governing collaboration with the health zone in terms of their registration and obtaining authorizations from the Ministry in charge of Justice and the Ministry in charge of Health,’ has noted the provincial inspector Mabiala during an interview. ‘These two ministries are responsible for issuing an operating license, administratively through the health zone, and another professional license through the Ministry in charge of Justice, before traditional practitioners can begin working,’ he has added. He has made it his duty to weed out any traditional practitioner who has not obtained both operating approvals from these two ministries. ACP/
