Butembo, October 6th, 2026 (CPA): – A systematic inspection of party venues and other entertainment venues has been announced by the Civil Protection authorities in Butembo, Nord-Kivu, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), according to a press release consulted on Tuesday by CPA.
“The General Direction of Civil Protection (DGPC), provincial direction for Nord-Kivu, informs the owners of party venues and other venues hosting public and leisure events that teams of inspectors will shortly be deployed in the field to assess viability, safety, public protection and compliance, in accordance with the Operation ‘Lisu-Pro’ launched by the director of the DGPC”, it is read. According to the document, inspection teams will shortly be deployed to the field to carry out checks on viability, safety, public protection and compliance, following an official statement from the Ministry in charge of Interior regarding systematic inspections.
