Kinshasa, August 4th 2025 (CPA).- The Congolese series ‘Mobembo’ (journey) by actress Nadine Mavinga from the Democratic Republic of Congo has established itself as a socially conscious work, taking a critical look at deviant social behaviour and calling for a return to good morals in Congolese society, according to its author, who was interviewed on Monday by the CPA.
‘The lesson to be learned from the series “Mobembo” is that trust does not exclude control. In this series, as an actress, I wanted to expose the bad practices that prevail in our society,’ has explained the actress, better known by the name of Dinana la douce. For her, this series, which is scheduled for release on Monday August 4th on all our download platforms, is intended as an educational tool for a healthy society, promoting good values.
Inspired by everyday life in Congolese society, ‘Mobembo’ is a series that recounts daily experiences. ‘The unique thing about the series Mobembo is that it deals with everyday experiences, and the inspiration came to me from observing the realities of our society. The lesson to be learned is that trust should not exclude control in all our relationships,’ she has explained. This 15-episode series features several Congolese film actors, including Grâce Luzolo, Chacha d’or, Flavien Muaba, Stephie Kapinga and others.
