Kinshasa, February 15th, 2026 (CPA).- A conference entitled ‘Espace Kimia’, dedicated to the restoration of women’s mental and spiritual health, is scheduled for Saturday, February 21st, 2026 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), CPA has learned on Saturday from the organisers. ‘Chayil Lady, on the occasion of its fourth anniversary, is organising this conference to create a safe, caring and structured space where women can lay down their burdens, restore their mental and spiritual health, and rediscover their inner strength,’ has declared Christelle Mokando, coordinator of ‘Chayil Lady’. For the organiser, this activity also aims to provide a safe space for participants to express themselves freely, without judgement or stigma. ‘The aim is to promote mental health by raising awareness and supporting women on issues related to emotional wounds, stress, harassment and exhaustion,’ she has added. Ms Mokando has explained that this event will be a lever of restoration and hope, integrating the spiritual dimension (faith and prayer) to promote inner healing. The conference plans to provide participants with practical tools through therapeutic writing exercises, guided discussions and professional support if necessary.
Silence, a danger to emotional balance
Justifying the choice of the concept ‘Kimia’ (Peace), the coordinator has emphasised the urgency of breaking the taboo surrounding psychological distress. ‘The awareness of mental health is essential because silence does more damage than pain. Faith is no substitute for emotional balance; prevention is more powerful than repair,’ she has insisted. This meeting is aimed particularly at women experiencing difficult periods (rejection, pressure, break-ups or exhaustion) and wishing to regain balance in their lives. Chayil Lady is a support and motivation organisation that accompanies women on a spiritual, educational, moral and entrepreneurial level.
