Kinshasa, August 18th, 2026 (CPA). – The first edition of the ‘Talent Elle’ Forum, dedicated to supporting and facilitating the professional integration of young women aged between 18 and 35, has taken place on Monday in Brazzaville, in the Republic of the Congo, with around twenty young women taking part, CPA has learnt on Tuesday from the organisers. “The aim is to support young women aged 18 to 35 and give them the opportunity to find a job or a paid work placement in their own country,” has reported Ms Dagraça Mobengo, chair and founder of Bouger-vivre-réaliser (BVR Asso) and a panellist. She has explained that five of the twenty participants will be selected for a paid work placement or a job opportunity, whilst the other fifteen will receive support including coaching, the CV revamping and mentoring. “We also want to offer the other fifteen participants a mentoring programme so that they, too, can benefit from support and progress in their career paths,” she has indicated. The meeting has brought together five panellists to discuss issues relating to career paths, autonomy, integrity, boldness and commitment to the development of the African continent. The speakers have notably shared their experiences in the fields of entrepreneurship, health, economic empowerment and the return of the diaspora, encouraging the participants to believe in their own abilities and to forge their own career paths, she has added. Ms Mobengo has also shared her career journey, notably her experience in social impact through BVR Asso, as well as her vision of the ‘path of possibilities’, emphasising the need to take risks and persevere in achieving one’s ambitions. The event has also featured testimonials on the importance of integrity, financial independence and a commitment to the development of the African continent, she has explained. The ‘Talent Elle’ Forum aims, in the long term, to expand its activities to various African countries in order to build more bridges between young women, recruiters and opportunities for paid employment and work placements.ACP/
