Kisangani, April 17th, 2025(CPA) – Discussions have been held in Kinshasa on the progress of various rehabilitation works on National Road No. 4 (RN4) being carried out in the province of Tshopo, in the north-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, CPA learnt in an interview on Wednesday. ‘My official mission to Kinshasa enabled me to hold discussions with the national Minister in charge of Public Works on the progress of rehabilitation work on National Road No. 4 (RN4), which has been underway for seven (7) months’, has said Heritier Likaka, provincial Minister in charge of Public Works. ‘It was a question of discussing the progress of the work. We hammered home the problem areas. If there are any problems, the Chinese company CCC will intervene very quickly’, he added, saying he was very satisfied with these discussions. ‘We held discussions with the Chinese company Zenghwei and the General Director of the Central Coordination Office (BCECO) to harmonise the situation regarding the 15 km of asphalting work in the Lubunga municipality,’ has added the Minister Likaka. After all the discussions, he has announced, the Zenghwei Company said it was ready to start the work. ‘All that remains to be done is to make a few adjustments to the technical data before the contract is signed and the paving work in Lubunga actually gets under way’, has concluded the minister.
