Kinshasa, October 6th, 2026 (CPA). – Opportunities for partnerships to support the modernisation of the Transports au Congo (Transco) establishment have been explored on Monday in Belarus during a working meeting between the company’s General Director (from the Democratic Republic of the Congo) and the Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Industry, according to a press release consulted on Tuesday by CPA.
“On a mission to Belarus since the end of last week, Mr Jeremie Kilubu, CEO of Transco, has been received in audience on Monday October 5th, 2026, by the Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Industry and the Economy. The focus of their discussions was the exploration of partnership opportunities for the Congolese Public Transport Authority (Transco), particularly in areas likely to support its modernisation and development,” it is read in the Transco press release. The source has reported that, following this working session, the Transco’s general director has visited a factory specialising in the manufacture of electric buses and vehicles for the transport sector. This visit has enabled him to discover technological solutions that could contribute to the modernisation of Transco’s vehicle fleet as well as the digitalisation of its management system. This mission forms part of a broader vision aiming to transform Transco into a modern, efficient, safe and digitalised public transport service, better suited to the needs of the population, both in Kinshasa and across all the provinces of DRC.
