Kinshasa, July 7th, 2026 (ACP).- The bilateral cooperation on the strengthening agreements in the tourism, cultural and economic sectors has been discussed on Tuesday in the Congolese capital, during a meeting between the Minister in charge of Tourism and the Ambassador of the Republic of Chad accredited to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). “We have discussed bilateral cooperation. We have also talked about agreements on tourism and cultural affairs. We have spoken about economic integration, namely the introduction of beef onto the market. I believe he has been very receptive to our request and that he wishes to support Chad,” has declared Apollinaire Mogombaye, Chad’s Ambassador to DRC. He has indicated that once these draft agreements on bilateral cooperation have been finalised, they will be examined by the relevant departments, whose aim will be to take the necessary decisions to swiftly launch concrete activities on the ground. According to the ambassador, the two countries are developing good relations in various areas, particularly at the political level. “I have come to see him because he has done a great deal to promote peace in Chad. He was the President Felix Tshisekedi’s envoy, acting as a facilitator for the peace process in Chad. So he has a very good understanding of Chad’s future, and we have come to seek his help,” he has added.
