Kinshasa, September 30th, 2026 (CPA): – The payment of social benefits from the general social security scheme has been announced for this Thursday, October 1st, 2026, across the entire Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), according to a press release from the General Direction of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), reached on Wednesday at CPA.
“The General Direction of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) informs partners and social service providers of the general social security scheme that the payment of social security benefits for the third quarter of 2026 will begin this Thursday, October 1st, 2026, across the entire Democratic Republic of Congo,” it is read.
According to the source, the CNSS General Direction invites each beneficiary to please report to the bank or regional administration centre responsible for this social benefits payment process. The CNSS is a public body responsible for managing the general social benefits scheme for workers in DRC. In the field of social security or social protection, these benefits constitute transfers intended to reduce the financial burden associated with various social risks, notably the old age, the survival, the illness, the family, the unemployment and the professional integration, as well as housing.
