DRC: The Call for Entrepreneurial has an Impact in the Sanitation Sector

Kinshasa, August 5th 2026 (CPA).- A call for entrepreneurship with social impact in the sanitation sector was launched on Wednesday, following the close of the 7th Congress of Women Leaders, organised by the International Council of Congolese (CIC Asbl) in Kinshasa, the capital of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). “I am calling on women leaders to set up impact-driven businesses in the sanitation sector here in Kinshasa, as the needs are enormous,” has said Medi Misuani, national coordinator of the International Council of Congolese (CIC Asbl). “Women’s entrepreneurship has the power and a key role to play in improving the quality of life in our city,” she has added. She encouraged women to work together to achieve this goal. “Let’s take action, get others on board and set up impact-driven businesses in this sector,” she has urged.

The national coordinator of CIC Asbl has emphasised the need for women to embark on concrete and profitable initiatives related to waste management and environmental protection. As a reminder, the conference, organised by CIC Asbl, brought together women leaders over two days to discuss the themes of sanitation, inclusive finance and women’s leadership.
