Kinshasa, July 14th, 2025 (CPA) – A survey on the entrepreneur perception index to better understand the business environment in the Democratic Republic of Congo was launched on Monday by the Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC) in collaboration with a pan-African multisectoral company, according to a press release received by the CPA. ‘The Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC), in partnership with Sodeico Development, is launching a survey on the Entrepreneur Perception Index (EPI), specifically targeting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the Congolese entrepreneurial ecosystem,’ the FEC press release stated.According to the statement, this strategic index is positioned as an analytical tool that provides private sector actors with a clear, relevant and up-to-date picture of the business environment in DRC, based on the perceptions of MSMEs themselves. Its main objective is to deepen knowledge and documentation of the dynamics specific to the national entrepreneurial fabric, enabling the necessary measures to be taken to improve the conditions for economic activity in our country.‘We invite you to participate in this major initiative by contributing to a data collection that accurately reflects the realities on the ground, and we thank you in advance for your commitment to building a more inclusive and effective entrepreneurial ecosystem,’ the statement said.Completing this questionnaire is essential to enable the Federation of Enterprises of Congo to identify the key elements necessary for initiating reforms and advocating for a more favorable entrepreneurial framework. It should be noted that the Entrepreneur Perception Index (ISD) is an initiative of Sodeico Development aimed at assessing entrepreneurs’ perceptions of the business environment in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the goal of gathering valuable data on the challenges and opportunities faced by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.
