DRC: validation of gender and social inclusion policy at the center of a workshop

Kinshasa,  October 6th, 2025 (CPA).– The validation of the Gender and Social Inclusion Policy and the Code of Conduct of the National Coalition for Education for All (Conept) was the focus of discussions on Monday in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), during a workshop ‘The overall objective we have set ourselves is to validate these two fundamental documents that will guide us in our quest for quality education for all, without distinction. We also aim to integrate the innovations that will result from these policies into our statutes, in order to strengthen our regulatory framework and our role in promoting educational governance that truly serves everyone,’ Rigobert Matondo Ngela, Chair of the Conept Board of Directors.

« We would like to hear your comments, recommendations and amendments, as we are convinced that it is through a participatory and inclusive approach that we will be able to create documents that can truly guide us towards excellence. We are aware that to achieve this, we must identify the innovations to be incorporated into our constitutive documents (statutes, rules of procedure, procedures manual) and propose the articles that need to be amended to strengthen our internal governance, » he added. According to the Chair of Conept/DRC, the Gender and Social Inclusion Policy and the Code of Conduct are the result of a long process of reflection and consultation.

‘These two instruments reflect our desire to go beyond mere declarations of intent and put in place concrete mechanisms that guarantee inclusion and equity in all our actions,’ said Mr Matondo. This validation will be formalised by the adoption of a final declaration of collective commitment to gender and social inclusion, he said. ‘This declaration will be a commitment made before history to translate these principles into concrete actions, to make CONEPT DRC a model of inclusive and equitable educational governance,’ concluded Rigobert Matondo.
