Empowerment: the youth minister’s support for youth projects requested in Kinshasa

Kinshasa, August 19th, 2025 (CPA).- The support of the minister in charge of youth for youth projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been requested by a social actor during a meeting on Tuesday to promote the development and empowerment of this social group in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.  « As young people, we have enough projects that require effective support. That is why we welcome the arrival of the new Minister in charge of Youth Affairs and hope that she will listen attentively to the problems of young people. We want to see a minister with an expanded role, a minister who receives young people, takes their projects to heart and participates in their activities.

We expect her to be a standard-bearer for young people, to fight to bring appropriate solutions to the problems of young people, which is a major asset to our development, » has declared Azaria Shacob, president of the Aidons Nous Vivant Foundation.  Mr Shacob has indicated that the minister’s promotion of young people’s projects will boost their spirit of leadership, as he believes that the validation of these projects will be a source of motivation for them.

He has also welcomed the appointment of the Minister in charge of Youth, thanking the Head of State for choosing this lady, who represents hope for Congolese youth. « I would like to welcome the appointment of Her Excellency Grace Kutino. Her childhood images show that she has long been involved in the struggle for the emergence of DRC. From a young age, she has consistently shown herself to be a defender of our homeland. I also welcome the Head of State’s foresight in choosing this lady, who represents a promising future for Congolese youth, » he has said.

‘For years, we have been complaining that young people were being side-lined in various appointments, but now that young people are being appointed, certain ill-intentioned individuals are opening a new debate about experience, as a way of discrediting her. Young people should not allow themselves to be drawn into this baseless debate, which ultimately aims to harm Congolese youth,’ he has concluded.  It should be noted that Ms Grace Kutino has been officially appointed Minister in charge of Youth and Patriotic Awareness on August 7th, 2025 in the Suminwa II government, succeeding Ms Noella Ayeganagato.
