Kinshasa, June 11th, 2026 (CPA). – A series of actions on information and vocational training is expected in Kisangani, the chief town of Tshopo province (north-east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), in order to strengthen young people’s entrepreneurial skills and stimulate the creation of income-generating activities, according to a information note consulted on Thursday by CPA. “During the stay of the General Director, Professor Godefroy Kizaba, the National Agency for the Development of Congolese Entrepreneurship (Anadec) will roll out a series of actions focused on information and vocational training. The aim is to strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of young people in Tshopo, provide them with technical guidance in structuring their projects, and encourage the creation of income-generating activities,” we have read.  According to the source, this field mission forms part of the implementation of the presidential programme “Debout Jeunes Congolais (Stand Up Young Congolese)”,  a strategic initiative dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship, self-employment and the economic empowerment of young people. According to the source, this initiative reaffirms the government’s commitment, under the strong leadership of the Head of State, Felix Tshisekedi, to position the youth as the true driving force behind the national economic recovery. ANADEC is a structure of the Congolese State that works to promote national entrepreneurship through information and theoretical and practical training on how entrepreneurs can access project funding and public or private contracts, with a view to foster the emergence of the Congolese middle classes.
