According to journalist Tarick Ngangu, a member of the artist’s communications team, contacted by CPA, ‘this performance by Ferre Gola, who is the embassy’s guest, will have the impact of perpetuating the values of DRC abroad and preserving the authenticity of the country’s culture, in particular the intrinsic values of women and morality.’ ‘Music plays a major role in raising awareness of women’s rights, as it can educate, inform and entertain while highlighting certain priorities that concern them.

Women remain resilient, a source of inspiration and a vehicle for culture,’ he has explained. This event aims to bring together members of the Congolese diaspora living in Greece, as well as several personalities from the diplomatic and cultural world, around a programme highlighting the richness of Congolese rumba. Ferre Gola is also expected on April 4th, 2026, at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, for a concert as part of his summer music tour in Europe.
