Lubumbashi, September 30th, 2025 (CPA).- A donation of food and non-food items was delivered to the Kamalondo nursing home in Lubumbashi in the province of Haut-Katanga in the south-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo by an NGO, the CPA reported on Tuesday. « I believe that God, in His sovereignty, will keep us alive so that we can visit you again next time. We ask you not to lose hope. There are those who have abandoned you, but today God has sent us to you. We will not stop thinking of you.
If God gives us the opportunity, you will invite us to visit you again. We thank you for your consideration and attention, and may God bless you for all these words of blessing you have spoken over us. Finally, may God strengthen you, and we wish those who are sick a speedy recovery, » said Mike Mukosa, president of the NGO Christian Fraternity. « We have come to visit and support the elderly residents of the Kamalondo hospice. For us, this is not just an activity, it is a major event, it is a gesture from the heart. We have come to show that they are not forgotten, to prove the love we have for them and to bring them joy. This simple visit can make a difference, » added Divine Kaumbo, vice-president of the NGO.
On this occasion, the director of the Kamalondo hospice for the elderly, Linda Mutonkole, described this gesture as a great sign of consideration for senior citizens. « It’s a great day, a day of joy. The Christian Fraternity decided to visit this hospice with hearts full of joy and love. They decided to come not empty-handed but with gifts to show their love for the needy, those who are forgotten and rejected by others, » she said. The NGO Christian Fraternity is a philanthropic association of young people working in the field of philanthropy with a mission to bring joy and smiles back to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people, including widows, orphans, the elderly, prisoners and the sick.
