Kinshasa, June 15th, 2025 (CPA/IRNA).- The Iranian government has claimed on Sunday that its country has solid evidence showing how US forces have helped the Israeli regime attack Tehran, according to the Iranian news agency. ‘We have solid evidence demonstrating the support of US forces and bases in the region for the Israeli regime’s attacks. This regime’s aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran could never have taken place without the agreement and support of the United States,’ has declared Abbas Araghchi, Iranian Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs. ‘We have been closely monitoring these movements and continue to do so, and we have ample evidence of how US forces have helped Israel,’ he has added. Speaking to foreign ambassadors residing in Tehran, Abbas Araghchi has criticised the Trump administration’s anti-Iranian policy. ‘The US government has supported this aggression against Iran. Over the past two days, we have received messages from the United States, through various channels, stating that they were not and would not be involved in this attack. However, we do not believe this verbal assertion, as we have evidence to the contrary,’ he has said. The Iranian Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs has said that if the US government really believes this, it must express it clearly and publicly, as sending a private message is not enough. He has stressed that the US government must clearly condemn the attack on nuclear facilities. Such an action is reprehensible under international law. Tehran expects the US government to clearly condemn the attack on peaceful nuclear facilities and distance itself from this incident in order to prove its good faith.
Iran rejects any agreement that compromises its ‘rights’
In addition, Iranian Minister Araghchi has rejected any agreement that would compromise Tehran’s nuclear rights, reaffirming that the country remains open to an agreement guaranteeing that it is not seeking to acquire atomic weapons. ‘Tehran would not accept any agreement that would deprive Iran of its nuclear rights. We are ready to conclude any agreement aimed at guaranteeing that Iran is not seeking to acquire nuclear weapons,’ Abbas Araghchi has stressed.
Iran accuses Israel of derailing nuclear negotiations with Washington
The Iranian Minister in charge de Foreign Affairs Araghchi has accused Israel of seeking to ‘derail’ nuclear negotiations with the United States by attacking his country. ‘It is quite clear that the Israeli regime does not want any agreement on the nuclear issue. It does not want negotiations…,’ he has said. And to add that Israel’s attack on Iran last Friday was an ‘attempt to undermine diplomacy and derail the negotiations’.
