Kasaï Central Football: Resignation of the President of Tshinkunku de Kananga

Kananga, October 23rd, 2025 (CPA).- The president of Tshinkunku of Kananga, of Kasaï Central, in the centre of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), has announced his resignation as head of the team, the CPA has learned on Wednesday from an administrative source. ‘Indeed, for personal reasons, in order to preserve my dignity, I am resigning from the position of president and will remain a supporter,’ it is read. This resignation is contained in correspondence dated on October 22nd, signed by Dr Dominique Tshikabu and addressed to the secretary of US Tshinkunku, a copy of which was received by the CPA on Thursday.

It should be noted that Dr Dominique Tshikabu Ntontodi has resigned from his position a few hours after his team was given a forfeit for failing to comply with the administrative formalities of this training session against AS Malole de Kananga, at the opening of the 31st edition of the National Football League (Linafoot), at the Stade des Jeunes in Kananga. This somewhat unexpected situation for a club of the calibre of US Tshinkunku caused quite a stir, even though Dr Dominique Tshikabu had promised, upon taking over the reins of this sports team, of which he had inherited only the name, to restore its tarnished image.
