Kinshasa, April 22nd, 2026 (CPA).- call for investments for the project for the expansion of the Maluku municipality, in the eastern part of the capital, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has been launched by the Minister in charge of Urban Planning and Housing during the 9th French Week in Kinshasa. “I am a privileged witness to a partnership we are building as part of the implementation of the ‘Kyamona City’ project, which is a project of the city of Kinshasa that will extend all the way to Maluku,” has declared Alexis Gisaro, Minister in charge of Urban Planning and Housing.
He has explained that this project to expand the municipality of Maluku is an ambitious and transformative initiative capable to create other economic activities in this outlying area of the city. “That is why, for some time now, we have taken up our pilgrims’ staff alongside the City Promotion Coordinator—he is the one steering the city’s development and managing the promotion of this project on a daily basis. “This meeting is for us an opportunity to solidify a partnership that is currently taking shape, to build it as a strong and tangible sign of the partnership we want to establish between companies in France and DRC,” has said Mr. Gisaro.
It should be noted that the themes addressed during these meetings reflect the global transition period in which geopolitical tensions, the energy transition, the climate emergency, and the reconfiguration of world value chains are profoundly redefining the rules of the economic game.
