Kinshasa, April 22nd, 2026 (CPA).– The Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC) has reaffirmed on Wednesday its commitment to promoting an attractive business climate in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during the launching of the French Week in Kinshasa at the Pullman hotel in the municipality of Gombe (in the North of Kinshasa).
“Our participation in this forum is part of a clear strategy: to promote an attractive, stable, and competitive business climate. This is an essential prerequisite for attracting more investment, securing private initiatives, and fostering the emergence of true national champions capable of establishing themselves in regional and international markets,” has declared Robert Mulumba, president of the FEC, during his intervention at the 9th French Week in Kinshasa. “We are convinced that the reinforcement of the economic partnership between DRC and France must now be based on a more balanced foundation. This implies a greater emphasis on skills transfer, local value creation, on-site processing of natural resources, and the development of integrated value chains that allow for a better distribution of economic benefits,” he has added.
He has specified that the French Week in Kinshasa is a strategic tool for economic rapprochement and offers a conducive framework for realizing identified opportunities, by facilitating direct exchanges between investors, businesses, and public decision-makers, and by creating favourable conditions for the establishment of sustainable partnerships. Mr. Mulumba has affirmed the FEC’s availability to work closely with the Franco-Congolese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIF), as well as with all present partners, to translate the conclusions of this meeting into tangible, transformative actions that foster inclusive growth. The 9th edition of French Week in Kinshasa, scheduled for April 22nd–24th, 2026, is organized by the CCIF in collaboration with the French Embassy in DRC.
