Kinshasa, October 1st, 2025 (CPA).- The Diamant Medical Centre (CMD) has celebrated its ISO 9001:2015 certification on Wednesday during a ceremony held in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). ‘We are celebrating ISO 9001:2015 certification. ISO is a process that involves reception, medical care, technology and diagnosis, results management, patient discharge, post-care follow-up and patient satisfaction,’ has declared Rahim Tajdin, General Director of CMD. ‘We are celebrating the culmination of twelve years of combined efforts by all departments, including our patient care processes, the laboratory, neonatology for premature babies, ophthalmic surgery, dialysis, etc.,’ he has added. According to him, these processes have been submitted to the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), which has awarded the hospital the 9001:2015 certificates, a source of pride for DRC. For his part, Mohamad Khalif, Director of Operations and Quality at CMD, has emphasised that this certificate is the result of collective work by the entire CMD team and a commitment to patients. « Our commitment is to put patients at the centre of everything we do. Our mission is to offer comprehensive support to patients for care that exceeds expectations, » he has said. ISO certification is an international standard that guarantees that the certified company complies with basic principles, namely support, implementation and management processes. The latter is fundamental because the ISO governance system requires the implementation of frequent management reviews, auditors, inspectors, training programmes focused on the ISO standard and risk management.
