Kinshasa, May 25th, 2026 (CPA).- The promotion of all positive initiatives undertaken by the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, was recommended on Monday to Kimbanguist faithful by the national Minister of Gender during the Christmas celebration held at the reception center of the church in Kinshasa. “We, the people of light, must promote all the positive initiatives of the Head of State. He calls on mothers, fathers, youth and Kimbanguists to unite and provide support so that our country may move forward,” declared Micheline Ombae, Minister of Gender, Family and Children. “That is why we mothers have a great responsibility: to guide our children and direct them onto the right path. Let us support our country through prayer, good thoughts and every action that can contribute to its progress. This is the country for which Papa Simon Kimbangu sacrificed himself,” she added.
Mrs Ombae continued by citing the example of Mama Mwilu, who struggled to educate her children. “Dear mothers, let us not be deceived. Let us follow the example of Mama Mwilu. Despite the absence of the father, she fought alone to educate her children and pass on patriotic and spiritual values to them. Had she not done so, we might not be here today to reap the fruits of that education,” the Minister of Gender stated. “Papa and Mama Kimbanguists, we have come to praise and celebrate the birth of the Son of God with a new name, as it is written in Revelation chapter 3, verse 12: the Son of God will come to write a new name. The former name was Jesus Christ and the new one is Dialungana Kiangani. Kimbanguists, let us baptize our temple,” declared Avalon Pumbalo, provincial representative of the Kimbanguist Church in Kinshasa. The preacher of the day, Waiko Laurent, pastor at Maman Nkwakiadi parish in Ngaliema municipality, focused his message on the transfer of power from the old Jerusalem to the new Jerusalem, where Papa Dialungana Kiangani was born and who is celebrating his 110th anniversary today. He is the second son of Papa Simon Kimbangu.
