Kinshasa, August 19th, 2025 (CPA).- The owners of makeshift restaurants commonly known as ‘Mamans Malewa’ have been equipped to carry out a complete diagnostic of their businesses during an action-oriented training session of the pilot support project to support the development of these women’s activities in the city-province of Kinshasa (capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo), CPA has learned on Tuesday from a press release.
‘The Malewa mums have learned how to carry out a diagnostic assessment of their businesses, in particular how to analyse their strengths and weaknesses, identify threats and opportunities, define their aspirations and develop strategies for the development of their activities, during an action-based training course on organisational development organised by the National Agency for the Development of Congolese Entrepreneurship (Anadec),’ it is read. According to the source, during a 4-week period at the Limete House of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Anadec has provided intensive training followed by personalised coaching.
They have integrated essential concepts such as innovation, environmental awareness and diversification to ensure the sustainability of their businesses. ‘Thanks to this training, they are now able to plan, seek funding and overcome obstacles to make their entrepreneurial projects thrive,’ the same source has specified. The Anadec continues to promote the economic empowerment and sustainable development of the ‘Malewa mums’, helping to boost the local economy, the press release has informed.
The Anadec is a Congolese State structure that promotes national entrepreneurship through information and theoretical and practical training on access to project financing and public or private markets for entrepreneurs, with a view to fostering the emergence of the Congolese middle class.
