Kinshasa, March 29th, 2026 (CPA). – The production of bissap juice, focused on the promotion of natural products and the reduction of the use of chemical substances, has been presented during a workshop held in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), CPA learned on Sunday from the organisers. “I am in the bissap juice production sector, a field that is still quite local. I have started this business ten years and eight months ago. Today, thanks to the knowledge I have acquired, I have launched my business publicly to offer natural juices and to reduce the use of artificial products,” has declared Hanalois Kamanda, a juice producer. She has explained that her initiative is also in keeping with health and well-being principles. “The bissap has health benefits, particularly for the blood and blood pressure. It was my aim to offer a healthy product. With God’s help, I believe this business will continue to grow,” she has added. Furthermore, she has praised the impact of the training on her entrepreneurial career. “This training helps us enormously, because not everyone has access to this knowledge. I was rather reserved, but the fact of learning from experienced people has opened up new opportunities for me,” she has indicated. She has explained that her project is based on personal experience. “Ever since secondary school, I’ve enjoyed drinking cold drinks, but they caused me all sorts of health problems because of the chemical products. So I have decided to create a drink in my own, a more natural one, with a suitable, slightly sweet taste,” she has specified. “The fermentation requires a professional expertise. As for preservation, we comply with the standards, with expiry dates clearly marked on the bottles,” she has concluded. ACP/
