Kongo-Central: presentation of a bulldozer for the construction of New Jerusalem

Kinshasa, August 4th, 2025 (CPA).- A bulldozer intended to contribute to the progress of construction work on Nkamba ‘New Jerusalem’ in Kongo Central (south-west of the Democratic Republic of Congo), purchased by the Kimbanguist Children’s Choir (Choreki), was presented on Monday to the spiritual leader of the Kimbanguist Church during the church’s Youth Day celebrations. ‘Papa, last year you have requested us to purchase a bulldozer to advance the construction work in Nkamba, New Jerusalem. Today, we are taking this opportunity to officially present this bulldozer, purchased thanks to the contributions of Choreki,’ has declared Alexis Mfwankatu, General President of Choreki.

On this occasion, he has reaffirmed Choreki’s willingness to contribute to the construction of the Church in accordance with the wishes of the spiritual leader and the three sons of the prophet Simon Kimbangu. For his part, His Eminence Simon Kimbangu Kiangani, spiritual leader and legal representative of the Kimbanguist Church, has expressed his gratitude to the choir members for their involvement in the construction of New Jerusalem and has encouraged them to continue their efforts without respite.  ‘Our fathers have left us and asked us to build New Jerusalem. We have suffered greatly with the museum, but we have succeeded. What we are building today, we will also succeed in. We have a lot of work to do with this bulldozer, and it will begin tomorrow,’ he has said. To this end, he has encouraged the faithful to engage in agriculture, fishing and livestock farming.

“I have requested tractors, fishing boats (…) let us engage in agriculture, fishing and livestock farming. We are requesting all this because our vision is to create our own societies, because if we build our own societies, it will reduce unemployment within the church and our country, thereby contributing to its development, » has said Papa Simon Kimbangu Kiangani. The spiritual leader has also encouraged the Association of Kimbanguist Fathers (Apaki) to buy their own fishing boats, following in the footsteps of the women’s association (Afki).
