Kikwit, October 6th, 2025 (CPA).- Love of country was cited as one of the pillars of citizenship during a tour on Monday by the director of the Kwilu educational province to several schools in Kikwit, in the southwestern Democratic Republic of Congo. “To be a good citizen, you must have and practice love for your country, respect for your compatriots, protection of common property, and unity and fraternity, which are civic and republican values that prove your patriotism,” said Mr. Jean-Pierre Yoyi, director of the Kwilu educational province.
He argued that “these four pillars enable us to comply with our country, our compatriots, and all our public and private property to ensure harmony in the nation.” Jean-Pierre Yoyi took this opportunity to urge school principals in his jurisdiction to strengthen civics classes to ensure a better future for our nation.
