Kinshasa, July 13th, 2026 (CPA). – The Deputy Minister in charge of Legal and International Affairs at the Iranian Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs has indicated on Monday that no action against Iran must go unanswered, in order to maintain a ‘strict’ policy of deterrence in the face of US and Israeli ‘pressure’, the international media have reported.
“In the continuation of our strategy of confrontation against any military aggression against the country, no action against Iran must go unanswered,” has declared Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister in charge of Legal and International Affairs at the Iranian Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs. “It is necessary for the National Security Council or Parliament to approve specific regulations defining in advance the firm and relentless response that Iran’s political system will mount to any attempt to attack the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the military and Iranian State officials,” he has added. For his part, the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs, Esmaïl Baghaï, has said that he is “irresponsible” to criticise Iran for defending itself, rather than holding the aggressors accountable for their “flagrant violation of international law”. He has also indicated that Iran is continuing diplomatic talks with Qatar, Pakistan and Oman – the mediating countries – in order to “prevent an escalation” with the United States, amidst the resumption of hostilities between the two countries. “The country has been in contact in recent days with Qatar and Oman, as well as Pakistan. The role of the mediators is to continue their efforts to prevent an escalation of tensions,” has indicated Esmaïl Baghaï, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs. For his part, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Iranian armed forces, has warned the Gulf countries that any cooperation with Washington would be regarded as “an act of war”.ACP/
