Kenge, July 20th, 2025 (CPA).- The Head of State’s efforts were praised by a political figure for restoring peace in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo during a meeting held on Saturday at the central podium in the city of Kenge,  Kwango province, in the south-west of the country. « The efforts made by Head of State Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo with the signing of the Peace Agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo are to be commended for bringing stability to the east of the country. Once peace is established, the country will once again have the means to resolve the situation of civil servants and build a referral hospital in Kwango province, » said Jean-Baptiste Ndefu Swatongi, national MP for Kenge-ville.

He explained:  » a member of parliament’s mission is to vote on laws for the proper functioning of the country and of an entity, but it so happens that, during my last term, things have not progressed well in the country because of our Rwandan brothers who continue to disturb the peace in the east of our country, which has led to a decrease in the state budget to implement everything that has been planned. » He went on to say: ‘A city lighting program will create jobs for unemployed young people, because young people are the strength of our country. I also announce that a strong team from the National Fund for Victims’ Reparation (FONAREV) will soon come to the city to compensate the victims of the war of May 5th, 1997.’ It should be noted that the national deputy is staying in Kenge, his electoral stronghold, as part of his parliamentary vacation.
