Kinshasa, March 30th, 2026 (CPA).– The role of the Prime Minister in promoting women’s leadership was highlighted Monday in Masina, eastern Kinshasa, during a distribution of cloths marking the close of activities for the month of March within a political party. “This day is of great importance. I wanted to honor our mothers during this month of March, because you are the backbone of our society. It is also an opportunity to recall the decisive role of the Prime Minister, Mrs. Judith Suminwa Tuluka, in promoting women’s leadership,” said MP Raphaël Kebongo, initiator of the foundation bearing his name. The elected representative of Masina gave thanks to God for the organization of the activity and expressed gratitude to the leadership of his political party, particularly Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, leader of the MLC, Fidèle Babala, and Eddy Iyeli Molangi, for their continued support. He also paid tribute to the President of the Republic, champion of positive masculinity, for his commitment to gender equality in the DRC. Mr. Kebongo donated pagnes to 1,200 women in Tshangu, including members of women’s and youth leagues, communal leaders and executive committees, as a gesture recognizing their role in society. He further reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Congolese women in their entirety and in the defense of their rights.
