Kinshasa October 29th, 2025 (CPA).- Seventy (70) Egyptian companies have expressed their interest in seizing the opportunities offered by the Democratic Republic of Congo in several sectors, including trade, energy and mining, according to a foreign trade communique consulted on Wednesday by CPA.
‘In his speech, the Minister in charge of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya has made it clear that 70 Egyptian companies are already to seize the opportunities offered by the Democratic Republic of Congo in several sectors, including trade, agriculture, mining, infrastructure and energy,’ it is read. According to the source, Minister Paluku has also announced that DRC-Egypt Economic Investment Forum will be held in Kinshasa at the end of November, at the conclusion of which win-win partnerships will be sealed between Egyptian and Congolese companies. In the meantime, he has called on the Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC) to seize this opportunity.
For his part, Mahamoud Samih, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has referred to the opening of the Chamber of Commerce in Kinshasa, stating that it demonstrates the firm commitment of Presidents Felix Tshisekedi and Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.
The inauguration of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kinshasa aims to promote investment and increase the volume of trade between the two countries, as part of efforts to strengthen South-South cooperation. It should be noted that the representatives of the diplomatic corps, the provincial government of Kinshasa and the FEC have taken part in the ceremony. CPA
