Urban roads: 90% of rehabilitation work completed on Dima Avenue in Kinshasa

Kinshasa, July 10th, 2025 (CPA).- 90% of the rehabilitation work has been completed on Dima Avenue in the section between Kasa-Vubu and Bokasa avenues, located between the Djalo and Boyoma neighborhoods in the commune of Kinshasa in the north of the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the CP learned on Thursday during an interview.

‘We have completed 90% of our project to rehabilitate Dima Avenue with reinforced concrete, which involves rehabilitating 650 meters in length and 7 meters in width on both sides of the road,’ said Mr Rudy Kabongo, the civil engineer in charge of the project.  For proper rainwater management and environmental protection as part of the renovation of Dima Avenue, new gutters have been built to improve urban safety, taking into account water drainage to reduce the risk of flooding and waste infiltration, while preserving infrastructure. « The first thing we did was to build new gutters for a more modern, functional and pleasant improvement.
