Solar energy at the center of exchanges between the Baroma Company and the Minister of Water Resources and Electricity

Kinshasa, June 13th, 2021 (CPA).- The Minister of Water Resources and Electricity, Olivier Mwenze Mukaleng, exchanged views on Thursday, in his working office in Kinshasa, with a delegation from the International Solar Energy Company called Baroma, came to signify to the minister his interest and commitment to work in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the field of solar energy, the CPA learned on Saturday from the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity.

The head of the delegation, Giann Vernetti, indicated that there is enormous potential for developing hydraulic and solar energy in the DRC, specifying that his company is ready to work as long as possible on site in Congo.

“Both large cities and small, including villages, need electricity for industrial and mining development whose activities are compatible with their society. The DRC is a signatory of the Paris agreement relating to climate change, which is a reason to favor and place particular emphasis on solar energy, ”said Giann Vernetti, before indicating that his company is already present in Kolwezi. , in the province of Lualaba where it owns land.
