UNYMCA for new investments in the water and electricity sectors

Kinshasa, June 19th, 2021 (CPA).- The head of work at the University of the Christian Association of Young People Association Christian Feminine, Placide Maningaba, expressed Thursday the wish to see the government lean in search of new investors in the water and electricity sectors in order to improve the service to these resources useful for national development.

He expressed this wish during a conference on the theme: « The time has come to satisfy the people », in the grounds of this scientific establishment located in the commune of Kalamu.

According to him, the government of the Sacred Union of the Nation (USN), through the Ministry of Water Resources, will do useful work in case it manages to facilitate if not to encourage, wherever possible, the support of new partners and investors in mini-dams similar to that of Muresa in Bukavu, in the province of South Kivu.

He said these mini-dams provide water and electricity to large numbers of people, especially in large cities. « There is a need for investments in renewable energies throughout the national territory in order to win the bet of modernity, » he said in substance.

Regarding the National Electricity Company ’’ SNEL ’’, Mr. Maningabe, ² called on the government to grant him the power to break the system of unpaid bills and exemptions from which politicians are beneficiaries. Question of helping him to maximize revenue to allow him to often meet operating expenses. ACP/
