The new commander of the 34th Military Region of North Kivu takes office

Goma, June 12th, 2021 (CPA).- The new commander of the 34th Military Region of North Kivu, Brigadier General Ghislain Tshinkobo, officially took up his duties replacing General Dieudonné Kapinga Mwanza Mashita, during a ceremony chaired by Lieutenant General Fall Sikabwe, Chief of the Land Forces General Staff and attended by the Military Governor, Lieutenant General Constant Ndima Kongba.

Speaking to the press, shortly after receiving the standard, symbol of the president of the ceremony, the new head of the army in North Kivu assured of his determination to continue the actions undertaken by his predecessors with the collaboration of the population.

“I came with one determination. That is, to start where the others left off. Together with the population, together with all layers of society, you people of civil society, people from the press, our mothers at the market, our prefects at schools, all by mutual agreement, we must be able to provide for the long-awaited peace, ”summed up the new commander of the 34th Military District.

Brigadier General Ghislain Tshinkobo thus called for calm and tranquility, while indicating that with the help of everyone, there is hope for the peace sought by all to come. ACP/
