20-year-old sentenced to life for murder in Kikwit

Kikwit, June 19th, 2021 (CPA).– The Kikwit District Court, sitting in first-degree law enforcement cases, sentenced the 20-year-old accused Célestin Sietila to life imprisonment for having killed Muyinda at the using a knife last May.

The court sentenced his two accomplices, including Nico Sona and Ibrahim Nzondo, both 20 years of primary penal servitude (SPP) for co-perpetrators of the murder, while Kalunga Yves Mbuku was acquitted by the court for lack of evidence.

In addition to this sentence, the three convicted will pay 30,000,000FC of damages to the civil party and the legal costs that will be fixed.
