Kinshasa, June 12th, 2021 (CPA).– The governor of the City of Kinshasa, Gentiny Ngobila Mbaka, returned to the Congolese capital on Friday after a 48-hour working stay in Brazzaville, where he participated in the 22nd Assembly Ordinary General of the Special Commission for Cooperation between Kinshasa and Brazzaville (COSPECO).
Welcomed by a few members of the provincial executive and his cabinet in strict compliance with barrier gestures, the urban authority returns with the hat of the current president of this cooperative structure between the two closest capitals in the world.
It should be remembered that at the end of these meetings, the opinion of Kinshasa and Brazzaville was fixed on the opening of traffic between these two capitals, which, according to Mr. Dieudonné Batsimba, mayor of Brazzaville, declared: « the traffic must first be humanized for the interests of both countries ».
The chairman of COSPECO spoke of the revitalization of this commission, which had been on the back burner for a long time. Work will be done, he said, jointly with his Brazzaville counterpart.
Governor Gentiny Ngobila Mbaka, it is recalled, arrived in Brazzaville on June 8 at the head of a delegation from the provincial executive to take part in the work of the 22nd Ordinary General Assembly of COSPECO. It should also be noted the presence of the provincial commissioner of police, the deputy divisional commissioner, Sylvano Kasongo, in the suite of the head of the urban executive. ACP/
