Inauguration of a public toilet within the reach of the inhabitants of Kimbanseke

Kinshasa June 13th, 2021 (CPA).– The burgomaster Jeannot Canon La Rose proceeded on Saturday to the inauguration of the building housing public toilets, as part of the sanitation and improvement of the social conditions of the inhabitants of his municipality, during a ceremony in the presence of the heads of the districts, the staff of its administration and the inhabitants.

This building located behind the Kimbanseke communal house is made up of nine compartments each including showers and toilets accessible to all social strata.

Jeannot Canon has in his word for the occasion sensitized the population to the importance of hygienic installations which must be kept healthy at the household level, affirming that many of his homes maintain their latrines with neglect. This action is motivated, he said, the concern of his administration to discourage even a little, this bad behavior of certain young people who make street corners, washrooms, before inviting the tenants of the bars, those in charge of hospitals and schools to also have adequate hygienic facilities in order to avoid certain illnesses linked to lack of cleanliness.

Soon other toilet blocks built in partnership with the Red Cross

In addition, the mayor Jeannot Canon, that his administration will soon inaugurate another block of latrines fruit of the partnership between the municipality of Kimbanseke and the Red Cross, in the Pierre Faucom district and on the Mokali road, specifying that the vision is to implement this kind of infrastructure in all the districts of this municipality in order to relieve the working population.

In addition, Mr. Biblos Mutulu, a native of Kimbanseke and private partner of this project, praised the involvement of the municipal authority for its realization and its spirit of initiative for the development of its entity, hoping that this project can extend also in other municipalities after Kimbanseke.

For their part, the beneficiaries thanked the mayor for the gesture and encouraged him to persevere for the development of their municipality. ACP/
