Kamina, April 12th, 2021 (CPA).- The interim governor of Haut Lomami, Denis Ngandu Ngoy, proceeded last Saturday with the inauguration of the bridge over the Lububu river on the road of provincial interest Kamina-Kabongo. This damaged bridge due to its dilapidation was repaired by the Chinese company CREC7 under the supervision of the Congolese Agency for Large Works (ACGT). At its current stage, this bridge, which is constructed of reinforced concrete and 25 meters long, can support the maximum load of 56 tonnes. Previously, the interim governor of Haut-Lomami thanked the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, for his desire to open up rural areas which are agricultural granaries. He asked road users to protect this structure by respecting the load so that this bridge lasts as long as possible. The Lububu Bridge was built with funding from the Central Government. However, the cost and duration of the work were not disclosed.
