Saint Jean-Baptiste de Bonzola hospital with an ambulance

Mbuji-Mayi, May 29th, 2021 (CPA).- The Saint Jean-Baptiste de Bonzola general referral hospital, based in the commune of Kanshi, was provided last Wednesday with a Toyota Land cruiser ambulance vehicle, donated of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

This vehicle was received by the head of the provincial health division, Dr Nestor-Bonheur Tshiteku Kaboto during a ceremony chaired, at the esplanade of the building of the provincial governorate, by the interim governor of Kasai Oriental, Ms. Jeannette Longa Muswamba. By receiving this rolling stock, Nestor Tshiteku indicated that it will effectively contribute to the roadmap of this division for universal health coverage which is among the difficulties encountered by Kasai Oriental in terms of the insufficiency of these types of vehicles.

. In all 19 general referral hospitals, this province currently has 3 ambulances before promising to make good use of them. Before proceeding with the actual handover, the head of the provincial executive expressed her satisfaction with this allocation despite the growing needs for these materials in view of the number of health zones assessed, ie 19 health units.
