Eight deaths from the new coronavirus recorded in Kasai Oriental

Mbujimayi, May 29th, 2021 (CPA).- Eight deaths and thirty-two cases of patients due to the new coronavirus are recorded in the city of Mbuji-Mayi, capital of Kasai Oriental, the provincial minister told reporters on Thursday.

 Acting Health Minister Liévin Mbuyamba Sifila at the end of the technical meeting of the provincial response committee extended to partners in the health sector chaired by the interim governor Ms. Jeannette Longa Muswamba in the meeting room of the provincial governorate.

The provincial Minister of Health said that the committee met in view of the skyrocketing confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in this metropolis, and thus reflect on the appropriate measures to stop this increase in the pandemic. These include, he said, cases of support and sensitization of the resistant population and showing its stubbornness as well as the reactivation of the response committee. Mbuyamba Sifila invited residents to be more aware of the seriousness of this disease. ACP/Fng/nig
