The inhabitants of Mwene Ditu called on to appropriate the barrier measures

Mwene Ditu, May 29th, 2021 (CPA).- The inhabitants of the town of Mwene Ditu in the province of Lomami, are called upon to take ownership of all hygiene measures and barrier gestures in order to curb the spread of the Covid -19 which is growing in recent weeks in the neighboring town of Mbuji-Mayi located 135km away. This appeal was launched Thursday by the mayor of Mwene Ditu, Mrs. Fidelie Kabinda Mutonji in a broadcast message on local media.

It also recommended its citizens to respect these measures decreed by the national authorities, among others the compulsory wearing of masks, regular and correct washing of hands or the use of disinfectants. The head of the urban executive said she was shocked to observe for some time, a deliberate slackening in the observance of barrier and hygiene measures, to avoid any contamination of the viral and deadly coronavirus pandemic. For her, this neglect can also be explained by the absence of hand washing kits in public settings and the compulsory wearing of masks. ACP/Fng/nig
