48th edition of the fair: the women entrepreneurs showcase ‘Made in Congo’ processed agricultural products

Kinshasa, August 23rd, 2026 (CPA).– The female entrepreneurs from the Forum of Entrepreneurs for Congolese Women (FEFCO) have exhibited, on Sunday, a range of locally processed agricultural products, including coffee, turmeric powder and cocoa, at the 48th edition of the Congo-Kinshasa International Fair (FICKIN) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. “We are present at this 48th edition of the fair to showcase locally processed agricultural products, ‘made in Congo’, including ginger powder, turmeric powder, pumpkin seed oil, baobab powder, cocoa, coffee, moringa powder and palm oil,” has declared Grace Chirala, FEFCO’s sales and marketing manager. According to her, these products are organic and locally sourced, ‘from farm to fork’.

They are grown and processed in DRC, across various provinces of the country. “Although the population does not yet trust us enough, because they have not yet had the opportunity to try or taste our products, we are still facing several challenges, notably the high cost of packaging, which comes from China, the transport of raw materials, and the efforts required to convince consumers,” she has added. The Forum of Entrepreneurs for Congolese Women (FEFCO) is an organisation dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of locally processed agricultural products, in line with the ‘farm-to-fork’ concept.
