CAF: Maniema Union (DRC) beat Kabuscorp (Angola) 4–1 and qualifies for the group stage

Kinshasa, October 25^th, 2026 (CPA).- Maniema Union of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has qualified for the 2026–2027 group stage of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederation Cup following their 4–1 victory over Kabuscorp of Angola, on Sunday at the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa, in the second leg of the second preliminary round of this continental competition. AS Maniema Union of DRC has found Kabuscorp of Angola to be very easy prey, winning 4–1 with two goals scored in each half of the match. Clement Pitroïpa (10^th minute) and Sousous Ilembo (37^th minute) have opened the scoring.

Souleymane Kane (32^nd minute) and Junior Magagula (90^th minute) have then joined in the Unionists’ goal-scoring spree. Kabuscorp did, however, manage to make a small contribution to the match, with Mankoko Afonso (29^th minute) pulling one back. Group stage draw on October 28^th in Cairo, in Egypt

Now that AS Maniema Union of DRC have secured their place in the CAF group stage, the team will have its eyes fixed on Cairo, the capital of Egypt, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), for the draw for the group stage of the 2026–2027 African Football Confederation (CAF) inter-club competition, scheduled for Wednesday October 28^th.
