Kinshasa, October 5th, 2025 (CPA) .- The pre-selection results of the first cohort of the New Enterprise Business Plan Competition (Copa ne) have been published for the towns of Bunia, Kananga and Mbuji-Mayi in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the project’s Coordination Unit has announced in a press release sent on Saturday to CPA. ‘The Coordination Unit of the Transforme project (UCP) informs new candidate companies in the New Company Business Plan Competition (Copa ne) – Cohort 1 and all its partners that the results of the pre-selections will be published in two phases, phase 1: Friday October 3rd, 2025, the results of the cities of Bunia, Kananga and Mbuji-Mayi are available on the official platform,’ it is read in the statement signed by Alexis Mangala, coordinator of the project.
According to the release, this publication marks the first phase of a two-stage process. The second phase concerns the results from the cities of Kinshasa and localities in the Kongo Central corridor, notably Kasangulu, Kisantu, Mbanza-Ngungu, Kimpese, Matadi, Boma and Muanda, expected at the beginning of this week. The source informs that the results can be consulted on the project’s official platform, adding that the selected companies will shortly be invited to attend ‘bootcamps’, intensive training sessions organised by the ‘Deloitte-KE-I&F Entrepreneurship Consortium’, has specified by the press release.
At the end of the bootcamps, the new companies will be asked to rework their business plans before submitting them for a final evaluation, with a view to the final selection of project beneficiaries. The UCP has called for the mobilisation of all partners to ensure the success of this crucial stage, and congratulated all the new companies shortlisted for their commitment, determination and perseverance in the selection process.
