DRC: key strategies for promoting entrepreneurship explained to coaches

Kinshasa, October 30th, 2025 (CPA).- Key strategies for promoting entrepreneurship in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were explained to coaches and consultants in this field during a training session organized by the Congolese Institute of Expertise in Entrepreneurship and SMEs, the CPA learned on Thursday from an administrative source. ‘We led a training session on key strategies for promoting entrepreneurship in the Democratic Republic of Congo, dedicated to entrepreneurship coaches and consultants, organized by the Congolese Institute of Expertise in Entrepreneurship and SMEs, in the main hall of the National School of Finance,’ said Prof Godefroy Kizaba, Director General of the Congolese National Agency for Entrepreneurship (Anadec).

He emphasized the importance of marketing strategies for entrepreneurs, defining them as curious and proactive individuals. He highlighted four key points in marketing: product or service quality, pricing strategy, presentation and communication. The CEO of Anadec also highlighted the entrepreneurship of young people and women, who often use these strategies successfully.

He encouraged the consumption of local products, inviting everyone to trust the offerings of Congolese entrepreneurs. He concluded the discussions on the implementation of the law on small businesses in the DRC, scheduled for the end of November 2025, as well as on the national simplified business plan competition (Conapas), which aims to support the development of local entrepreneurship. Mr. Kizaba explained that the aim of Conapas is to promote the emergence of a harmonious, inclusive and local entrepreneurial ecosystem.  ‘Just as each territory is represented in parliament, so too will entrepreneurs from each territory of the DRC be represented,’ he said. Anadec is a Congolese government agency that promotes national entrepreneurship by providing information and theoretical and practical training on access to project financing and public or private markets for entrepreneurs, with a view to fostering the emergence of the Congolese middle classes.
