Intercontinental playoff: DRC to face Jamaica Tuesday in Mexico without its supporters**

Kinshasa, March 30th, 2016 (CPA).– The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) will face Jamaica on Tuesday in Mexico for a place in the 2026 World Cup, without a large number of its supporters who returned to Kinshasa on Sunday from Kenya due to lack of visas for Mexico, CPA observed on Monday. All efforts made by the government of the Republic through its Ministry of Sports to obtain visas for Mexico proved unsuccessful. Only a few supporters holding service passports were granted visas, while a large number of those with ordinary passports saw their visa applications rejected by the Mexican Embassy in Kenya, where they had traveled to complete the procedures. Even the well-known Congolese sports entertainer Lumumba Vea was unable to travel to perform, despite being highly expected by Congolese football fans worldwide. He returned with his colleagues and is currently staying in Kinshasa.
