Kinshasa: a project to promote economic activities explained to women on

Kinshasa, March 9th, 2026 (CPA) – Proxis- Market, , a structuring project in the context of economic activities, was explained to women on Sunday in Kinshasa by the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services in the DR Congo, on the side-lines of International Women’s Rights Day, CPA has learned on Monday from administrative sources. ‘Today is a special day dedicated to women.

This is an opportunity to explain to you the Proxis-market Pene Pene project launched in Kinshasa, which offers you appropriate frameworks to better carry out your economic and commercial activities with dignity,’ has declared Jean-Robert Isifua, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of DRC.

On this occasion, he specified that this day is celebrated under the theme defined by the Isifua Foundation: ‘Living with dignity,’ while reminding women that this project is an opportunity that will allow them to carry out commercial activities in dignified, modern and secure conditions.

‘You are stakeholders in this project, you must know that you are all together and you are defending a single cause, that of seeing mothers regain their dignity as such and also in everything they are doing,’ he has added.Proxis-market promoting women’s economic and financial inclusionFor her part, Ms Lomboto Jeanne, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIS/DRC), has indicated that this modernisation project has been launched with several objectives in mind, including promoting the economic and financial inclusion of women, creating large numbers of jobs, modernising agricultural value chains and professionalising local trade.

‘This project aims in particular to promote e economic and financial inclusion of women, create massive employment, modernise agricultural value chains and professionalise local trade,’ she has added.

It is a major project in the modernisation of distribution channels and the structuring of a commercial ecosystem capable of having a lasting impact on thousands of women traders in DRC. It has a national impact that is directly aligned with the government’s priorities for social improvement, economic modernisation and job creation. Based on the theme developed by the Isifua Foundation around living in dignity, Ms Lomboto reminded women of their role in society in promoting socio-economic development in DRC.

‘Your role is irreplaceable. Be proud of yourselves, proud of your journey, proud of your courage, proud of everything you have accomplished. Today, dear women, is a day of joy, of recognition, a day to celebrate your strength, your courage and your love,’ she has urged. Proxis-market (Pene Pene) is a project born out of the obvious observation that local trade still operates in an overly informal manner, to the detriment of producers and traders.
