Kinshasa: First edition of agricultural fair scheduled for December 13th

Kinshasa, December 11th, 2025 (CPA) . – The first edition of the agricultural fair is scheduled for Saturday, December 13th, in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, under the theme: “Agricultural entrepreneurship for inclusive development in the DRC,” the CPA learned Thursday from the organizers. « We are organizing the first edition of the agricultural fair on December 13th, under the theme: Agricultural entrepreneurship for inclusive development in the DRC, on the initiative of the organization called +Samedi bilanga+, with the aim of promoting agriculture by providing agricultural entrepreneurs, as well as those who wish to enter this field, with the necessary knowledge and equipment, » said Mykiss Tshinemu, agricultural entrepreneur and CEO of the organization. He specified that this edition is intended to be innovative in building a sustainable and productive future in the agricultural sector, inviting reflection on an organized way of practicing agriculture so as not to exclude anyone.  He indicated that he wanted to encourage the commitment and success of entrepreneurs working in this field, recalling that agriculture plays a fundamental role in economic and social development, particularly in developing countries. Mr. Tshinemu explained that the “Samedi bilanga” program is a large-scale project based on the idea that all Congolese people can engage in agriculture on Saturdays, whether they are entrepreneurs, civil servants, or students. “We chose Saturday to give everyone the opportunity, because this day should not only be devoted to rest, but also be a day when we go to the fields,” he concluded.
